We have been working as special counsel to the Town of Fletcher to facilitate a public-private partnership to redevelop the Heart of Fletcher downtown area. Our team, led by Ashley Anderson, has worked with the Town Manager, Assistant Town Manager, and other Town officials for over a year to carry out the project from beginning to end, contributing our legal expertise and experience with other public-private partnerships to ensure the Town’s getting the development it wants at this high-profile location.

The Town’s long-term goals were at the heart of our work from the very beginning. We worked with the Town to identify and prioritize Town goals for the project and to develop an overall approach to the development partnership. We helped the Town draft an RFP that encouraged the types of development the Town wanted to see in the area.  We led the drafting of an Economic Development Agreement and a Purchase and Sale Agreement, and we assisted in negotiations with the developer and in presenting the project and agreements to the Council. The $20M+ mixed-use town center development includes a variety of uses including 42,178 square feet of commercial retail and office space, and 36 residential units.
