ABOUT ME
Hello! I’m new to the team! At Sanford Holshouser LLP, I work mainly in our public finance practice area. In this, I assist our team and clients in navigating the legal landscape to find the right source of financing for their local community needs. Eventually, I will focus part of my efforts alongside our Community Economic Development and Affordable Housing practice areas as well. My particular interests are in revitalization, preservation, and sustainability.
Currently, I am a member of the Young Lawyer’s Division of the North Carolina Bar Association. I have also volunteered as a Guardian Ad Litem (GAL) in Durham County. In this role, I served as a liaison between the Department of Social Services and the courts, advocating for childrens’ best interests. Before law school I worked in two clinical trial units within the Duke Department of Psychiatry, a behavioral health and smoking cessation unit.
While attending NCCU School of Law, I served as the managing editor of the NCCU Law Review, was a part of the Environmental Law Review as well as the Business Law Society, and continue to engage law students through NCCU’s mentor-mentee program. I was fortunate enough to spend time interning with BlueCross BlueShield of North Carolina and the Department of Justice for the State of North Carolina. Additionally, I externed for the Honorable Richard Elmore of the North Carolina Court of Appeals. Outside of work, I like to unwind with car detailing. I live in Durham with my lovely wife and our two dogs.
