We now have a schedule for the 2025 meetings of the Local Government Commission. We thought a table might be handy.
In addition to the meeting dates, this table shows the application due dates. We’ve also noted the dates 45 days prior to the meeting dates because that is the deadline for sending in your advance notice to the General Assembly’s Joint Committee on Local Government (see this post for more information on that requirement).

Note for November – the LGC usually meets on the first Tuesday, but usually in November they slide it to the second Tuesday to avoid a conflict with Election Day. But in 2025, the second Tuesday is Veterans’ Day. We understand that there’s been no decision as to a November meeting date.
Also, keep in mind that the LGC generally won’t consider your application for a new-money borrowing in November, or later, unless the LGC staff has signed off on your new audit.
