I have over 25 years’ experience in business administration, almost 20 of those gained in the UK’s National Health Service, where day to day office management meant dealing with patients, primary healthcare providers and governance teams as well as the normal administrative aspects of working for a large government organization.
I joined Sanford Holshouser LLP in April 2016. This was a new role requiring someone who could help SHL take a big step forward, while at the same time help them to meet some basic office needs. This allowed me to shape the job to meet my interests and abilities. My current responsibilities include: maintaining the firm’s website, crafting the monthly newsletters and researching potential new projects.
My husband and I moved from the UK to the Triangle area in 2013 to take up a career opportunity, which was originally supposed to be temporary. Having fallen in love with the area, however, we both quickly came to the realization that Carrboro was our home and decided to stay indefinitely. I spend my spare time split between volunteering at Table, a non-profit organization providing healthy food bags for elementary and middle school children here in the Chapel Hill / Carrboro area, baking and breathing a new lease of life into old furniture.
